Editorial and calculation policy

Useful financial tools need transparent methods, traceable sources and clearly stated limits.

Who publishes this website

financecalc.co.uk owns and publishes the website. Questions and corrections go to [email protected]. We do not claim that the content has been reviewed by an accredited financial adviser or tax professional.

Sources and methods

Tax and student loan calculations use the official government sources linked beside each tool. Repayment and growth tools explain the mathematical model they implement. Assumptions, jurisdiction and exclusions are part of the result, not optional fine print.

Testing and updates

The calculation code has automated tests covering standard examples, zero-interest cases and important tax thresholds. These tests check the implemented model, not every possible personal circumstance. A checked date indicates when the cited rules were last compared with the source; it is not a claim of daily monitoring.

When rules or methods change, the affected calculator, examples, scope and tests should change together. Until a new tax year is explicitly supported, use the year shown on the tool.

Corrections

Send the page URL, non-sensitive example inputs, expected result and supporting source to [email protected]. We investigate reports against the published scope and update confirmed errors. If an issue affects an important result, the affected page should explain the correction.

Commercial independence

The current calculators do not rank or recommend financial providers. Payment must not change a calculation or its explanation. Any future advertisements or sponsored content must be identifiable as such. Read our advertising policy for the current status.
